You're not the only one! I'm down to one pair of jeans, one pair of slacks and one skirt... I hang what I'm not wearing out on the balcony to "air out". The hardest part is figuring out which one to wear to the laundromat when I finally do laundry, since that means it will have to go another two weeks before cleaning. I'm happy to be losing weight, but I didn't want to lose half my wardrobe too!

Wish I could brag about the same accomplishment.

Umm...can we have a shoe-shine party? I have a pair that I've been meaning to borrow Dad's polish on for, well, years. I never seem to make time for it when we go home. I had no idea that you had polish. I remember the bright red polish we used to shine the red Hopak boots for folk dance. That took a lot of time and polish.

I don't know about secrets either. I think it depends on if it something that the person needs to know. The secret was kept in the movie because it wasn't information that anyone else really needed to know. All the most important players in the story were dead. If they had lived, perhaps keeping the secret wouldn't have been the right choice. I'm not sure what the balance is between telling a secret that is in someone else's "right to know". I think I'd vote "tell" if it's their right to know and the secret was mine to share. Great film though. There are some more good ones this week if you're interested.

Don't beat yourself up too much. I consider a budget more of an ideal than a reality, it never turns out exactly the way we planned. One thing that's helped us is to have "mad money". The cash that we earn through our private lessons is never entered in the budget at all, and can be spent however we want. So we don't have to check with each other before going out with a friend, and since it's cash when it's gone you can't keep spending it!

And good luck! Maybe you'll just have to cut back a little on the car payments each month (by $10 or $15 each time) which will help in case another emergency comes up and will only set you back a month on completing your goal?
