The task was to come up with a word that uses the suffix -ship and use the word in a sentence.
Although this student did successfully use a word that uses -ship, the resulting sentence was pretty funny:
"The craftsmanship of the statue was gastronomical."
I don't think that's what he meant, do you? :)

I don't know. Comments about someone's "gastronomical craftsmanship" sound like you're talking about the shape of their poop.
